Leeshaw & Leeming

Leeshaw 10:15 (ish).

A bright sunny morning with a slight nip in the air.

I had a drive out to Leeshaw this morning and a chance meeting with Mick W. from Haworth. We had a good natter and Mick showed me a great shot he'd taken a few mins before I had arrived of a Little Ringed Plover.

Try as we might it did not appear again while I was there.

We even tried turning a couple of likely looking stones near the water into a LRP but after resorting to the scope decided that this LRP was definitely made of rock!!

Thanks for you efforts Mick.

There were lots of birds moving about with a good number of Canada and Greylag Goose, 2 Oystercatcher, Redshank, 2 Common Sandpiper, Swallow, Heron, Willow Warbler, Meadow Pipit, Pheasant, Wheatear, 1 BHG and 1 LBBG.

Leeming 13:00

Leeming was its usual quiet self with a single Greylag, Mallard, Pr. Goosander and a pr. Coot (I don't remember seeing Coot here before).
Willow Warbler, Wren, Curlew calling from the moor, a few Meadow Pipit, Pheasant and the usual small birds.
