Bradshaw & Soil Hill
(Wednesday 29th July).
The usual stroll around Soil Hill, Ned
Hill track and back.
I dropped some Nyger seed for the
Woodpigeon!
On the way up, Kestrel, Wren &
Greenfinch.
Soil Hill.
3 Kestrel hunting on the tops.
8 Linnet (a good count for me ).
12 Woodpigeon, 1 Skylark, 1 BHG.
Ned Hill Track.
Whitethroat calling, 6 Swift, 4 Swallow, 1
House Martin, bedraggled Dunnock
6 Blackbird, Rook, Carrion Crow, Jackdaw.
Willow Warbler.
A possible GBBG high, following the muck
spreader.
5 Mistle Thrush.
I enjoyed a long chat with the farmer up
there.

Wight.
Tues 14/7/2015 Brading Marshes.
Looking for Marsh Harrier today but
managed 5 Buzzard instead and a Red Squirrel.
Lots of Butterflies about - Marbelled
White was pointed out to me - alas I could not ID the others.
Thursday 16/7/2015 Sandown & St. Helens
A long hike along the coastal path 12:00 -
17:00 from Sandown to St. Helens.
Common Sandpiper and a good few Med. Gulls.

To big for Twite, surely not a Linnet & looks to have pinkish legs.

After we had lunch in the Bistro we headed owft to our yacht, in this little number.
Poor old Bertie had to get in and push to get us owft the sand.
