Oats Royd and the RAIN

17:00 - 19:00

A late do this evening with a walk down to Oats Royd and back.
I thought the worst of the weather had passed over - think again.
Heavy showers came a-looking and I spent a long time sheltering under the trees this evening.

Not a lot about - no surprise really - I thought something might have been forced to land by the heavy rain.

A report this afternoon of a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker seen in a garden on Whinney Hill Park (Brighouse)- within the last 3 months.

Birds:-

2 Swallow, Meadow Pipit, 2 Mistle Thrush, Kestrel, Rook, 2 Wren, 2 Wagtail overhead, 10 Mallard 2 Moorhen, Heron.

A reported sighting of a Kingfisher (by a dog walker) seen recently near the ponds.

A few awesome snaps.

Very pleasant when the downpours stop

A nasty "Wickes" cloud - it's got my name on it
