A very varied few days

A varied week or so for us:-

Thu 21st Nostell Priory.
Fri 22nd Pugneys for the morning and with Abi after school - Hollingworth Lake for the afternoon.
Sat 23rd With Abi and Emma at Hollingworth Lake.
The next few days were spent at Wells-Next-The-Sea in Norfolk, one of our favourite places.

Seeing I've bored you to death with our itenary I'll post a few photos without too much gab (if that's possible).

Some interesting birds were seen along the way.
Juv. Med Gull at Pugneys.
Marsh Tit at Nostell Priory with many Woodpecker and Stock Dove.

Tops of the Pops - seen at Wells:-

Montagu's Harrier.

Marsh Harrier.
Red Kite.
Little Tern, Common Tern and Sandwich Tern.

A Mystery Swan or perhaps a Goose.
I've looked through my Collins Bird Guide and nearest I can get to it is a Bar-Headed Goose a long, long way from home!!

The Montagu's Harrier was confirmed by a kindly local birder who I had an interesting chat with.

The photos though are... you guessed it... distant and poor.

However, I make no excuse, having walked from Blakeney to Wells in the searing heat carrying bins and camera and stopping 'er in doors' 'getting forrawd'.

Hope you enjoy looking at a few different birds for change.
I certainly enjoyed seeing them.

Thanks for reading.

Nostell Priory:

Lots of family's of Tits dashing about here.
Definitely heard a Marsh Tit call
Not sure if this poor pic is it though!

Pugneys:

Juv. Mediterranean Gull

Wells-Next-The-Sea:

My Mystery Swan or Goose.
Distant as per usual..
