Local Stroll

18:45 - 20:00

Another scorcher and the usual stroll up Taylor Lane and over Soil Hill - Ned Hill Track and home.

A lady on a horse, riding along Ned Hill Track, remarked how beautiful 'The Hill' was - I wondered if she has been up here in February.

Nice to bump in to Lenny for a chat.

Birds:-

Some very distant Gulls on the ploughed fields opposite the Raggalds (seen from Taylor Lane).
There looked to be Lesser Black-backed Gulls with one Herring Gull.

Skylark, Meadow Pipit, 2 Stock Doves.
Lots of Woodpigeon and c30 Starling.
2 Kestrel, 6 Lapwing.
2 Pheasant.
A few Swift and Swallow.
Little Owl.

A frequently diving,  'diving duck' , on the lower NK Pond with 3 other sp. Too distant to ID with confidence.

Mistle Thrush.

Greenfinch were calling regularly along the way as well.

Not a lot to report really, but a stunningly beautiful evening up on The Hill.
