Northumberland Holiday Day 3 - Glossy Ibis

Tuesday 1st May 2018.

Another dry day with lots of sunshine.
A stiff wind though, this time from the SW.
We had a run around the coast road from Warkworth as far as New Biggin and back.

A chance stop at Druridge Bay area paid dividends where a Glossy Ibis was in residence!!

Lots of birders here with scopes and cameras.

The bird, as always a LIFER, was a tad distant.

Birds:-

Avocet at Cresswell Ponds with Wheatear.
Glossy Ibis, Yellowhammer, Sedge Warbler, Sanderling.

Possible Tree Pipit.

Buzzard and Eider Duck at the lovely port of Amble.

And a few other sp.

Cannot ID this Pipit alas.
It didn't seem to call like a Meadow Pipit.

Eider Duck calling .... briefly

I needed a more detailed photo to get a definite ID.
