Ogden 9:45 - 11:45
It’s Granddaughter this aft. for a day or two, so I donned
my waterproofs and had a couple of hours at Ogden this morning to see if
anything special might come along.
It was a cold, wet(ish) morning with nuisance rain on and off ,
mostly on!
The water was very quiet with just a few
Mallard, “Tuftie Ted” Duck and pr. of GCG.
A Grey Wagtail was below the promenade
feeding near the cobbles overflow.
Around the circuit just the usual stuff,
Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Robin, Wren etc.
I had a walk up to Devils Tooth looking
for Spotted Flycatcher or Crossbill, neither of which put in an appearance.
I'm not sure where the
flycatchers go when the rain comes and the flies disappear.
A scan across the open moor land was a bit
more productive with one of each, Lapwing, Curlew and Red Grouse.
Pictures were hard to come by today!
