IOW Wed 17/07/19. The Needles.

No holiday to the Isle of Wight is complete without a trip to the Needles. Today the Needles was hot and sunny.

The Needles is about as far away from our Farm, Caravan Site as you can get on the Island.
It takes about 1hour to get here and all because …. the lady loves Milk Tray?
No, all because the silly old bloke wants to get a Rock Pipit yearly tick.
Rock Pipit are normally along the cliffs near the Battery, on the National Trust property.
So - 8 parking, 14 NT entrance fee, 15 in the cafĂ© for 'er in doors and da dah..
I did nab myself a Rock Pipit!

(Funnily enough another 2 or 3 Rock Pipits were seen up by the Marconi Building where it is totally FREE of charge – ho hum).

Birds :-

Rock Pipit, Cormorant,
Possible Shag – on the sightings board but not sure if I got a photo!!

Linnet, Meadow Pipit, Great Black-backed Gull, Herring Gull.
Buzzard, Raven, Poss. Juv Raven.

???? Probably a Gull
Noticeably large feet.
