A long
bus ride into Scarborough (1hr).
The
return journey was a bit hairy with the driver speeding along the
moorland road like someone possessed.
Birds:
Looked
for Peregrine along the North Beach cliffs but didn't see any.
Redshank
and Turnstone in Scarborough Harbour.
A walk
along Scarborough North Shore by the rocks produced Curlew, Great
Black-backed Gull, Oystercatcher, Turnstone.
100 plus
Widgeon and a few Teal.
A Petit Duck was with the Widgeon - It's probably a Widgeon but I'm unsure?

A Real
Bonus of a 1st
Summer Eider Duck.
Walking
back, from North Shore, along road towards the harbour, below the cliffs a 'Black and
White' wader was seen on the water, very close to the shore.
A 1st
Summer Guillemot, (or maybe an Adult bird in Winter plumage) that I'm trying (and failing) to turn into
something else!
A geat
bird to see up close I normally see them in April at Bempton.
C6
Gannet passed by one a 2nd winter bird.
A Good day out.
First glimpse of the Eider
Fortunately it awoke and went onto the sea.
A Petit Widgeon
Whitby - coming home, late evening.
