A long bus ride today to Barmouth - 1 hour - good value for money, though, £5.85 each, return.
The fare would have been zilch, for me (but not Sue) in England using my bus pass. Not valid in Wales, alas!!
Not much birding time today.
Oystercatcher, 2 Cormorant, Large Gulls, and some well camouflaged Dunlin among the rocks.
Late evening, I had a walk around the campsite.
Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Goldcrest,My first calling Cuckoo - heard but not seen.
A Buzzard being mobbed by Herring Gulls. The Buzzard dived headlong to avoid the Gulls.
An interesting couple of warblers - probably Willow Warbler, but one looked to have a very yellow eye stripe.
The bird had a deep single 'chaff' call repeated many times as it flitted about in the late evening light.
No other calls heard from the birds.
Large Gulls - Probably Lesser Black Backed Gulls
Oystercatchers
Dunlin Pictures
Oystercatcher and Cormorant
Diving Buzzard - avoiding Herring Gulls
Song Thrush
