A
hairy bus ride from Porthmadog to Barmouth today with a more relaxing
train journey back.
Some
sea mist floating about early on soon lifted to give a warm sunny
day.
A
walk across the estuary at Barmouth crossing the railway bridge gave
fantastic views – a real gem of a walk.
Birds:-
My
second Red-breasted Merganser was in the river here, and a lot easier
to photograph than yesterday's Porthmadog bird.
Also
here, Whitethroat, Reed Bunting, Stonechat, Little Egret and a
distant Red Kite.
Meadow
Pipits were here with 2 large Pipits feeding along the river
banking.
I could not confidently ID the Larger Pipits alas.
Possible Rock Pipit.
I'll need some time to look at the bird books!
Pipit No 1.
Pipit No 2.
Meadow Pipit.
