Whitby - Sun 14th August 2016

We spent a day near Sandsend, Whitby on Sunday and enjoyed a walk along the beach.
A Buzzard (common one I think) was being harassed by some noisy Herring Gulls and c40 Oystercatcher as it glided along the cliff top.
Eventually it landed out of sight and the racket died down and finally petered out.
There were c12 Sand Martin (some still feeding young in cliff nest holes) getting very agitated by a very, very pale , juv. Kestrel sitting close to the nest holes.
The Kestrel looked bemused by all the commotion.
The Kestrel was a great spot by Sue because it's plumage blended in completely with the colours of the stone of the cliff.
Also about were a Juv. Grey Wagtail, a couple of Racing Pigeon - fed up of racing and an unusual flight movement by a Gull.
I believe the Gull is a Juv. Herring Gull

Strange flight movement?

Same Gull as above - Herring Gull I believe
