After a nice day out at Saltaire I thought some penance was in order so I took a late trip to Soil Hill to drop some Nyger Seed and replenish my stocks up there.
A real old struggle against a strong Westerly wind.
Nothing much to report really:-
Birds:
6 Syklark, 2 or 3 Meadow Pippit, Pheasant, Oystercatcher calling from below the North Side, 1 Lapwing, Mallard flying back and forth and another in a pond that has formed in the large stones in the field near the mast.
8 Woodpigeon and coming down Taylor Lane a solitary Swallow!!
Good that you gave it a go John, bit grim up there today. Promising that you got a Lapwing.
