Southwold 03/09/19.

A really unusual Harbour area with a large expanse of water upriver at Walberswick.
The tide was going out and the fields draining when I was here, but there were few birds.
Just a few Little Egret, 4 Barnacle Geese flyover, Curlew.

There were a few (3 or 4) small birds calling from the mass of reeds as I made a long mile and a half trudge up the high banking.
Just 2 very poor views of one bird was as good as it got today.

The river Blythe empties into the sea through a high concrete channel here.
Where the river meets the sea, the fight between the river and the sea tides is something special to see. Giving an example of the awesome strength of water.

There were 3 Turnstone here.
