Waterproof Trousers

Usual jaunt – home-soil hill-Ogden-Bradshaw Park.
13:15 - 16:00
Left home when the rain stopped (I thought).
On Soil Hill wind 40 mph the sun popped out said 'hi' and promptly popped in again. I spotted nothing on Soil Hill except a few crows and magpies knocking about.
Ogden.
I was the first customer of the day at the visitor’s centre – a packet of cheese & onion seemed a just indulgence given the weather.
On the pond usual gulls and ducks. On the circuit and nearby, Pheasant (M), Goldcrest 4, Great , Blue & Coal Tits, Robin, Jay.
On the way home there were 8 Woodpigeon flying in a group and a Sparrowhawk seemed to appear from within the group. (I would have though a woodpigeon would be too big for a Sparrowhawk to tackle?)
Starling, Goldcrest 5, Blackbirds.
I was glad I made the effort and enjoyed the walk & fresh air (always fresh on SH).
Afterwards Sue suggested a walk to the Raggalds for a drink. Not a bad day.

 All 3 Ogden 'feeders' full

A Jay far away

Bradshaw Park footpath flooded.
