A sunny hour

Oats Royd 9.45 – 10.30

It is Granddaughter day today so only an hour to spare.

A squelch to Oats Royd this morning found the 3 honkers but no sign of Moorhen.

On the way down 14 Canada Goose were on the small pond at Upper Scholes Croft.

At Oats Royd there was plenty of birdsong with Blue Tit, Great Tit, Robin, Blackbird, Dunnock, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Wren and Coal Tit all in good form.

On the return journey a Moorhen ran into the grass near the pond at Upper Scholes Croft.
A very pleasant morning in the sun.

  1. Upper Scholes Croft eh, that's another watery location I didn't know about, I'll look it up on google maps.

  2. Hi Nigel,
It's a small pond just below Bradshaw Park you cannot get very close, just able to peer at it.It is on the left 200 yds after you cross Bradshaw Lane going down to Oats Royd.
