9:10 - 10.00
Very cold NW wind blowing on the top.
Showers
later with a drop of white stuff in amongst.
I just had one hour to spare this morning. Which is
just enough time for a quick hike up to Soil Hill and back.
On the way Green Woodpecker was calling. One to the
north and one to the south of the village.
I did not get a glimpse though.
Also 2 flirting
Dunnock, Blackbird, Blue Tit.
9 Fieldfare were on Taylor lane fields with usual
crow types knocking about.
On the top there was a pair of Skylark.
They took to
the air singing ,managing about 20 feet , before the cold wind and rain seem to bring
them back to earth.
Also on the top was a solitary Meadow Pipit.
It’s Granddaughter day today & tomorrow so it’s
Iggle Piggle, Tomliboos and Pontipines for me!
