Bradshaw – Queensbury Play Gym via R.F.

13:30 A dull day with a glimpse of the golden ball now and again.

Raggalds Flood.

Raggalds Flood water diminishing but enough for a wader or two (but not today).
Just 3 Swallow & 3 Woodpigeon amongst the cows.

Lowe Lane & Queensbury Cycle Path.

2 Goldfinch and a Pied Wagtail on the way to Lowe Lane.

On the Lowe Lane fields 3 Lapwing and a Pied Wagtail. Further along, after the pub, 2 Pied Wagtail and a pr. Bullfinch.
Total Swallows seen c20 with just one Swift seen.
On the old railway cycle path Pr. Linnet having some fun yet another Pied Wagtail and 2 Whitethroat.
A wren was singing loudly and a Dunnock hopping on the wall.

Greenfinch were in good supply either side of the cycle track also 2 Willow Warbler and a Chiffchaff with a very distant Mistle Thrush and a few others.

Half a bullfinch is better than no bread.

  1. Nice photos, especially the Whitethroat and Bullfinch. Nothing worth photographing in the pub then ?
