Gorple.

Another dry, mainly overcast, warm day was ideal for a circuit of Gorple Res.
on the hunt for Stonechat – but with no luck.

Birds seen:-

Jay, Goldfinch, Curlew, Common Sandpiper 4, Meadow Pipit, Tree PipitReed Bunting, Juv. Reed Bunting (I think), 64 Canadas with lots of young.
Half way round the circuit a large buzzard sized bird showed on the top of the fell flying slowly with its legs dangling at times which I think was a  Raven.

Willow Warbler, Family of Greylag Goose, Swallow, Skylark, and others.

A stop at Wycoller café (on the way home) was rewarded with a Jay & Grey Wagtail.

A few Pics:-

Juv. Reed Bunting?

  1. It's a Raven alright. Some good birds today, very good Common Sandpiper shot
