It’s Saturday morning again and another walk from home to
Queensbury play gym – what an exciting life.
Climbing up the Bonnet towards the Raggalds ,10
BHG in fields with 3 Pied Wagtail and 10 rattled Meadow Pipit unhappy with the
Kestrel perched on the wall nearby with what looks like Ratatouille for lunch!
Lowe Lane.
Deadsville down Lowe Lane just a couple more Pied
Wagtail & Meadow Pipit.
Behind the Junction Inn C10 Swallow buzzing about
with a Goldfinch here. Another couple Pied Wagtail on the house roof with a
Collard Dove.
Towards the cycle track bridge 11 Canada geese
still resident with a few Starling on the pylon and a few Woodpigeon.
Seen from
the cycle track 7 Goldfinch perched in a bare tree with 4 Blue Tit a Great Tit
and a Coal Tit.
Calling from the trees opposite a Great Spotted Woodpecker.
C20 chattering Starling on the pylon, also flying
over a Jay.
A quick walk to the railway tunnel was rewarded
with a Grey Wagtail near the tunnel entrance.
Then a nice surprise (for me anyway) a singing Chiffchaff
in the trees to the left of the cycle track opposite the nicked gate.
Also here a single Kestrel then a pr Kestrel
flying over.
Not a life changing experience today for me but most probably for the rat!
Ratatouille for lunch!
Today's Post Hic
What you up to with those bins?
Well spotted with the Kes and rat.
ReplyDeleteGt Spotted Woodpeckers seem to be getting rare around here, Ogden used to be alive with them.
Wasn't sure if it was a rat or a mole - but moleatouille didn't work somehow!
ReplyDeleteCheers.

Kestrel's preferred meal of course is Vole au vent.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to put my thinking cap on to beat that.
