A run around the reservoirs.

Ogden 10:45

Coal, Great & Blue tit in good numbers.

GCG & Little Grebe

2 Cormorant.

Robin, Chaffinch, Goldcrest, c80 Gulls c10 Common 2 LBBG rest BHG.

A feeble woodpecker call heard but nothing seen.

Pr. Jay – a bonus for me – I usually only see one at a visit.

Leeshaw.

Grey Heron, 3 Pheasant, 45 BHG -  as far as I could tell with the bad light and the distance.
2 LBBG, Robin, Woodpigeon, 3 Cormorant.
A few ducks going over see (poor) photo.
A few Jackdaws on the shore with the BHG. 
No Curlew seen?
Pr. Of Muscovy still there.
Red Grouse heard calling.

Ponden:

Kestrel, Muscovy Duck, 11 Pheasant, 6 BHG, Wren, 4 un ids on the telephone line. A long way off. 
Grey Wagtail.

No winter thrushes.

I'm due a megga any day now - hope I can i.d. it when it comes.

Most prob. Linnet but tail not very long

  1. A good tour there John, thats the way the birds are found and it stops me wondering what I,m missing.
    Your 5 ducks over Leeshaw are Pink Footed Geese.

    No chance for me to id those Pinkies in silhoutte and in the few moments it took for them to fly over.
    But with the camera and your help - problem solved.
    I did think they were a bit on the large size for Mallard when I looked at the photo honest.
