Curtain Hunt

We were on the hunt for curtain material for Emma’s bedroom today. A trip to the curtain shop near the Halifax Swimming Pool proved to be a wasted journey as they seemed to have moved to Elland. A trip to Elland to find them, at their new address, also proved fruitless. Although we found the building it did not look the part.

We did not fare much better on our second choice, a curtain shop we have used before,at Crossflats Bingley. This is closed until 6^th Jan 2015.

So we opted for a late lunch at Bingley Wetherspoons, a quick look at the Bingley shops and an hours’ walk on the Bingley canal.

It was very cold here at first with the fog just lifting and giving way to glorious sunshine.

We only walked a short distance on the canal but the trees and bushes just north of the 5 rise locks were bathed in sunshine and alive with birds.

Nothing special to report but a good hour was spend out and about in the fresh air nonetheless.

Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Robin, Blackbird, Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush, Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Jackdaw, Greylag Goose, Mallard, F. Goosander, Redwing, Woodpigeon, Dunnock, Wren, House Sparrow, Starling, Treecreeper.
