Frozen

A final trot to Soil Hill.

After a good dose of the ‘Frozen’ CD in the car with Abigail’s soprano singing  in the background it was time for Frozen the real thing – a visit to Soil Hill with a very faint hope of Snow Bunting.

I’ve been a bit lax over the last few days, re: the birdseed, with Christmas, Snow and stuff so I put some down this morning.

11:30  Soil Hill was as picturesque as ever and apart from a solitary Carrion Crow, crowing ‘thanks for the birdseed’, was bereft of any bird life whatsoever.

A few small birds were on the feeders on the way up there and a Kestrel landed on a far off telegraph pole.

A Blackbird near the top of Taylor Lane and 21 Starling feeding in a field off Perseverance Road was all I could come up with!

Raggalds Flood, seen from Perseverance Road, looked frozen rock hard.

2015 tomorrow so I may start a birding list next year.

A Happy New Year to birders and non-birders alike, who happen upon this website, most probably by mistake, and read this drivel!
