Soil Hill.
I
called to drop some Pheasant fodder at Soil Hill this aft. with no intention
of having a snoop around – I should have put some lead weights in my pockets to
keep me on the deck.
Ogden:
An hour at Ogden this afternoon, hoping that the nasty stormy stuff had persuaded something interesting to take shelter , alas it was not to be.
I must say an hour at Ogden was long enough today.
The song by
Sailor - “Girls, Girls ,Girls” came to mind, but instead of Girls it was Gulls, Gulls,
Gulls (and not a lot else).
A blustery, showery day at Ogden but amazingly I
missed most of the nasty stuff.
I forgot to bring my boots, which is a first
for me so I had to keep to the circuit path.
The water had a smattering of Black Headed &
Common gulls with a forlorn Mallard
population patiently waiting for Bread
lobbers.
Going around the circuit a large flock of Coal Tit
were feeding under the Beech trees with Blue & Great Tit with a Robin or
three.
A really poor birding day for me – but – a lot
better than the last few days Christmas Shopping.
A few pics in the forlorn hope that I've missed a Megga Gull.
Mallard - awaiting bread man.
Good that you got out and gave it a go in the condtions John.
