Soil Hill – a fleeting glimpse.

After a trip to Roundhay , Leeds and back where Sue was reunited with her right shoe, I decided I’d had enough car time and just enough time to walk over soil hill before dark. I was not expecting much with it being late and with a cold north wind up there, so when nowt much turned up it was not a surprise.

A sight I don’t think I’ve seen before, a Common Gull dancing on the banks of the underground reservoir presumably  trying to entice some worms out into the open.

Several birds on the NK pond, were at the limit of my camera / bins focus.

Obviously there were some Mallard there but not sure what else - possibly 2 Moorhen.

2 BHG in the fields, a Kestrel flew over and a few Carrion Crow knocking about and Pied Wagtail was on the Taylor Lane wall just as it was coming dusk.

Still it was 10 times better than the Leeds ring road traffic!
