We
had all four seasons in the space of 10 mins. Today!
After
some snow shifting early this morn, to allow Sue to get a new hair do, we had a
walk in the snow this aft. It started in beautiful sunshine, then hail and
sleet, then between Kelham Farm and Bradshaw Lane a blizzard.
Bri.- Birds were nearly as scarce as snow ploughs this aft.
We
kept to the main roads:- Bradshaw Lane, Ingham Lane, Syke Lane, Keighley Road,
Thornton Road, Denholme Gate Road, Green Lane, Bradshaw Lane.
A good test for Sue's foot!

The
walk was augmented by an enjoyable stop for lunch at Asa Nicholsons -We had a
Turkey, gravy and apple sauce sarnie – we know how to live in Bradshaw.
Birds:-
As we left the house a Robin and a Mistle Thrush
were enjoying the meal worms on the wheelie bin top – 2 Mistle Thrush were here
on our return and 2 of our ubiquitous
Magpie.
A Kestrel, 12 Canada Goose flying below soil hill,
LBBG > W with 6 or so smaller gulls, Blackbird, Carrion Crow (trying to find
food in the blizzard near Raggalds flood) was all I could muster today.
Raggalds Flood looked only semi-frozen but was deserted.
