Salterhebble Canal

A visit to friends at Elland today was preceded with a quick jaunt along the canal at Salterhebble.

Although the weather was bright and breezy the bird life certainly was not!

Birds:-

C30 Woodpigeon feeding in the fields, Mallard, White Duck (unknown sp), Robin, 6 LTT, Blue & Great Tit, Dunnock, M. Goosander, Pr. Bullfinch.

Today’s Joke:

A traffic warden dies and as the coffin is lowered into the grave the Vicar hears a knocking and a plaintive cry of  “I’m not dead” coming from the coffin.
The vicar leans over the grave and solemnly whispers:-
“I’m sorry sir, there’s nothing I can do, I’ve completed the paperwork”

Flotsam caught by the bridge

White duck with Mallard.
(Although the Mallards bill looks too long and dark?)
