With just an hour to spare today I gave Soil Hill a whirl
– maybe a Snow Bunt. would make an appearance.
Although we still have lying snow outside our house, the weather was quite mild in the bright sunshine. But I was greeted by a strong , bitterly
cold, WNW wind on T’Hill. (plus lots of
snow still on the deck).
No Snow Bunts alas and apart from Carrion Crow nowt
else either.
A good few smaller birds were knocking about on the
way up.
Blue, Great & Coal Tit, Robin, Blackbird,
Dunnock & Wren.
Hopefully the white stuff will vanish tomorrow?
There is a wren here somewhere!
Blue Tits very active - spring is on the way?
Perseverance Road - approaching Ned Hill Track
Soil Hill
My mate - when nowt else appears at least you do!
Brave man going up there today, the snows going to have to shift before we get any birds on it.
ReplyDeleteQuite a bit of snow has shifted up there, but with the cold wind it soon freezes up again.
