Ogden – all our yesterday’s

Soggy, Soggy, Oggie, aye, aye, aye as Max Boyce used to say (well he did have a bad cold at the time).
Coming home from Staples in Bradford this morning a Buzzard was circling over Thornton Road.

Ogden 13:55 – 15:15

A repeat performance of yesterday, today, with Sue dropping me off at Ogden so I could saunter around, walk home and get generally wet through.
The wind had died down quite a bit from yesterdays gale but the showers came thick and fast with very little respite.
The bird life was also identical to yesterdays except for a good count of Treecreeper – 4 – and 5 Goldcrest.
The Redpoll was in the same tree as yesterday!
But the rain made getting a decent photo hopeless.

Birds:-

4 Canada Goose, Barnie, 4 Treecreeper, 5 Goldcrest, Redpoll, 4 Long Tailed Tit, 3 Coal tit, Many a Great Tit chasing each other about, LBBG, Cormorant and others.

Talking of Max Boyce – a Max Boyce joke.

Wales are playing England at Cardiff Arms Park but it’s a sell out and young Rhys cannot get a ticket so he is standing outside the stadium.
His young pal Gethin has a ticket and he is sitting on a high wall inside the stadium calling down to Rhys and telling him what’s happening.

A huge roar goes up!

What’s happening Gethin?  Calls Rhys.
All the Welsh team, except J P R Williams has been sent off!! Shouts Gethin.
………… time passes ………….

Another huge roar goes up!

Rhys shouts up to Gethin “JPR scored has he?”

The sad thing is that the weather might get better but the jokes…….

A very soggy Redpoll
