The Herring Gull and the Eel.

On the Isle of Wight ..... 11^th July 2015.

We have had a fantastic holiday on the Isle of Wight.

Here is one of the many special moments we enjoyed

Today we paid a visit to the Hersey Nature Reserve near Seaview.

This Herring Gull had caught a very large Eel and it was attempting the impossible.

Here we go ....

Look out ... as big as you are there is someone BIGGER on its way!!

After 4 attempts to have its lunch ,and regurgitating the eel each time, an even larger Herring Gull appeared on the scene, kicked little brother into touch, and attempted to swallow the eel.

The second Gull got the eel down its throat about 90% and flew off with the Eel’s tail dangling from its “Gullet”

Amazing!!
