Mytholmroyd to Hebden Bridge and back

It was a short relaxing stroll for us today from Mytholmroyd to Hebden Bridge and back

It was quiet a chilly day, but there were lots of people out and about on the canal tow path.
The autumn colours are showing well and at least we did get a very brief glimpse of the currant bun.

I went into Springfield camping for some shock cord to add a compartment to the back of my small rucksack, to stow my waterproof coat.
I came away with the shock cord, a new rucksack and some new Scarpa boots.
On the last couple of times we've been to Springfield camping we've had a nosey around for over 45 minutes each time and I've managed to buy nowt - I think this extra hour's kip has befuddled my brain.
And to think, I've only had my old rucksack 10 years – extravagance beyond belief.

Birds - nothing to write home about - no pinkies seen or heard, alas.

Nuthatch, c60 Canada Geese, Many a Mallard, 2 Grey Wagtail, lots of Long Tailed Tit, Great Spotted Woodpecker and finally a Heron sitting patiently in a tree near Hebden Bridge park.
