Bolton Abbey

We enjoyed a visit to a very picturesque Bolton Abbey today - and the £3 parking ,winter mid-week rate ,was also a good do.

The weather was kind with some sunshine during a short walk to Bolton Bridge and back.

Heavy showers on the drive home through a traffic snarled Keighley though.

Birds:-

Pr. Goosander, 3 Nuthatch, 3 Great Spotted Woodpecker, Coal Tit, 9 Pheasant and 11 Red Legged Partridge in one field. 6 Fieldfare (no Redwing?), Pied Wagtail, Dipper, 5 Cormorant, lots of Blackbird, Robin, Blue & Great Tit and others.

(As lovely as Bolton Abbey is , I'd still rather see a Snow Bunting on Soil Hill, but it was nice to see a few different birds, given my struggle with the local birds these last few weeks).
