With thick fog engulfing a cold Bradshaw for most of
the day I thought I’d take another crack at the Green Sandpiper so I headed off
to Brighouse for an hour or so.
It wasn’t to be though – no sign of the Sandpiper through
my bins today (but that doesn’t mean it’s not there though!).
I did however get a tick in the shape of a Tree Sparrow.
There were c20 Tree Sparrow in the bushes but it was
difficult to get a clear picture of them and the poor light didn’t help.
Also seen round and about the area were 4 Mistle
Thrush, Fieldfare, 2 Jay, Small Gulls, Little Owl, Starlings , Pied Wagtail,
Mallard and 2 Moorhen.
Long Tailed,
Blue, Coal & Great Tit.
A Joke:-
A White Horse walked into a bar.
Barman: Hello, do you know we’ve got a whiskey named
after you?
White Horse: What? Eric!

Unlucky on the green sand but made up for it with tree sparrow
