I had another try for the Sandpiper this aft. without success.
An hours walk about, on an unusually mild
January day, brought with it a January Curlew!
I enjoyed a chat with Jeff and Susan who I
bumped into down there.
Birds:-
4 Stock Dove, 4 Redwing, c12 Long Tailed
Tit, Pheasant, Kestrel, Curlew, Great Spotted Woodpecker, 6 Bullfinch,
Goldcrest, 100's small gulls, Chaffinch, Great & Blue Tit.
On the way home, flying high in and out of
the clouds, by the Queensbury trailer field, were a flock of 28 birds - Lapwing
I think.
The Lapwing photos were taken through the car
windows.

You,ll get a Green Sand one day. The early Curlews been there about a week now DF.

ReplyDeleteIf not there's always brown sand, with Abigail at the seaside, to look forward to.
