Shibden Park
We had a morning in Shibden Park earlier today, with Abigail
enjoying the open space and being able to scooter around the lake on a rainless
Saturday morning.
The pathway is very good for pushing Emma around in
her wheelchair and when she gets cold there is a lovely warm café to escape to.
After some buns and drinks in the café Abigail soon
tired of the café scene, so Sue took Abigail out to play on her scooter while
Emma and I read the paper.
Later the 3 ladies went on a land train ride while I
had a nosey at the birdlife.
There were plenty of Black Headed Gulls, Mute Swan, Coot,
Mallard and Moorhen on the lake and a Robin flitting about near the stream.
I was hoping for the Kittiwake from last year (or
the year before) but no joy.
