Chevin Trek Otley.

We had a run out to Otley today to take a look at the outdoor clothing shop ‘Chevin Trek’ and also a general nosy about.

It was very, very cold and extremely windy again with sharp showers keeping everyone rushing along the Otley streets between shops and cafes.

We had a very short saunter along the river , through the park to the first river bridge and back.

At least there was some evidence of spring around the corner, with Crocus and Snow Drops making an appearance with some catkins on display.

There were many Black Headed Gulls scrambling for the bread on offer.

I saw just one Common Gull from the road bridge, but when I got to the feeding area I could not locate it again, so maybe it was a BHG.

There were the usual Mallard about and 6 Mute Swan in the feeding area.

Not much bird life to report on the stroll, the high winds were keeping the smaller birds low in the trees.

A bit of a dull report from an area where there is normally lots going on!

Birds:-

There were lost of Blackbird, 4 Robin, Black Headed Gull, Mallard, 6 Mute Swan, Woodpigeon, Blue Tit, Dunnock and 1 Red Kite seen in the far distance above the conifers on the hillside.

Nice and quiet now that the bread lobbers have gone,
