Soil Hill

Out and about tonight from 19:30 21.00

After a long day at White Rose shopping centre looking for a new suit and accoutrements for an up coming wedding I managed to get out late on.

(I hate shopping for clothes, I’ve already got loads of casual gear ,I  don’t get this wedding business at all .... maybe I'm tight as a duck's doings).

I had a stroll around Soil Hill late evening.

As soon as I arrived at Soil Hill track the mist appeared, but at least  it stayed dry, if very dull.

Usual birds here:-

Linnet, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Blackbird, Pheasant, Moorhen.

I had a good long look at the bushes along Ned hill Track trying to get a decent picture of a Whitethroat that was singing tantalisingly close.
I did get a picture of a couple of Juv. looking Whitethroat but the man of the match just popped out once, landed on a small branch, before diving deep into the lower bushes.

A Kestrel was resting on telegraph lines, far away and a Swallow made a fly past.

A couple of Swallows were resting on the wires behind the white cottage on Perseverance.

A few misty photos:-

Best Whitrhroat pic -
well it would be if the little bugger sat still for a minute!
