A local jaunt today, started off with nasty drizzly stuff but things improved.
And, although it remained dull and windy, the wet stuff took a hike.
Bradshaw Park:
2 Pied Wagtail on the bowling green.
A exhaustive search of Holdsworth Copse area was disappointing.
Oats Royd:
Lots of singing Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff.
Long Tailed Tit, Bullfinch calling, 2 Coal Tit, 2 Moorhen, Heron.
Also hereabouts Meadow Pipit, Greenfinch.
A detour past Brandy Hall proved to be a good move with a distant Wheatear seen and 2 Swallow overhead, the first Swallow of the outing.
A couple of Linnet were on the wires as I came down the home straight.
Not a bad outing really, we are short of some heat in the weather.
Willow Warbler
Chiffchaff
Robin of the day
Distant Wheatear
