√Ogden Reservoir

15:30 - 16:45

A short outing this aft.

A dull afternoon with a chilly west(ish) breeze made me think about wearing some warmer gear soon.

Lots of bird calls , as I did a circuit of the water.

Very dark though, making birds difficult to pick out.

Goldcrest flitting about throughout the walk.

c60 Gulls on the water with c20 in the north west bank.
c10 Common, c20 Lesser Black-backed with the rest Black Headed.

On two different occasions, a Lesser Black-backed Gull , holding a short stick like 'creature' , flew high and dropped it onto the water?

A group (c6) Long Tailed Tit were moving along through the bushes.

Chaffinch, here and there, but not in any number.

Wren, Robin, Blackbird and Goldfinch was about it - but
I did pick out a dainty Female Wigeon  from the Mallards, which, for me, is always pleasing.

An interesting hour or so anyway.

4 Common Gulls were in the Taylor Lane fields.
