√Lightcliffe , Bradshaw and Ogden

9:55 - 11:30 (ish)

A dull, dull November day, in more ways than one.
A trip down to Lightcliffe this morning with a walk down the main road and along to Catherine Slack and up Coach Road.
Hoping for Brambling.

I am wondering who has chloroformed all the birds?

Just a Nuthatch and a few Long Tailed Tits seen along with the more commoners.

Bradshaw 12:30 - 14:45

Hoping to redeem this mornings poor outing I took a walk along Bradshaw Lane, Ingham Lane to Ogden and back via Percy Road.

Another very, very quiet outing.

8 Goldcrest along the Ogden circuit, just one Chaffinch - no sign of Brambling.

Usual small Gulls with 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls on the water.

A Great Spotted Woodpecker flew overhead as I was leaving Ogden.

Percy Road had a Kestrel and a few Pheasant.

Even my 'get out of jail' - Little Owl failed to show up.
Must get some underarm deodorant I think.

Great to see the B.O.G blog has published some pictures of the Ilkley Hawfinch (that I tried, and failed to spot yesterday) - good stuff.

This link should take you to the B.O.G. webpage
