The usual stroll up to and around Soil Hill on a very warm afternoon. Not much stirring in the heat this aft.
A Little Owl was seen from Taylor Lane.
Along Ned Hill Track a Kestrel and a couple of Linnets seen.
Soil Hill was very quiet, a couple of Meadow Pipit, Singing Skylark, 5 Swallow, 3 Mallard, Woodpigeon, Pheasant, Curlew, Canada Goose.
1 Oystercatcher broke the monotony somewhat.
Still no local Swift for me.
A Green Woodpecker called from below Roper Lane, for a good 15 minutes as I sat outside, after I arrived home.
