Old Guy Road Area (Queensbury) / Ogden

Drizzle on and off today (dull).

Old Guy Road Area - 14:20 - 15:40.

Following NK's cracking find of a Black Redstart on Old Guy Road today, I had a good search round in the general area.
Unfortunately I failed to relocate the bird.

A disappointment because I remember Nigel relocating the Bradshaw Black Redstart -  year's ago now.

I did, however, spot 3 Wheatear (skittish) as compensation.

Other than that, just Starling, Kestrel and a few Crow types about.

Ogden Water - 15:55 - 17:00

Just a slow circuit of the water today.

A Great Spotted Woodpecker called as I was putting my boots on.
Usual Gull sp.
A large Gull overhead could just be a Yellow Legged Gull.
At least 5 Cormorant.
2 Little Grebe.
Jay.
At least 4 Teal - they were difficult to make out in the gloom and although I saw 7, I did not know if some of the earlier, sleeping birds, seen, had gone out on to the water.

A Moorhen was in the bushes along passerine alley.
