A really busy day today with Emma and Abigail most of the day then Heckmondwike Trampoline 'Parlour' with Abi and her dad and then Sue's dad to visit in Halifax in the evening - phew!
I manged to get to Redcar Tarn and back in an hour in the afternoon, which I rated as pretty good going - anywhere near Keighley normally means nose-to-tail traffic.
I was looking for KM's great find of a Garganey.
I did not hold up much hope, assuming that the bird would be resting before heading off again in the morning.
But , with such a rare bird being found, I though I'd try anyway.
A heavy shower greeted me as I arrived at the Tarn but it passed over and the sun came along briefly.
No sign of the Garganey, in fact not a lot to get excited about at all really, in the short time I was there.
Birds:-
Lesser Black-backed Gull, Herring Gull, Black Headed Gull.
Tufted Duck, Mallard, Coot, Canada Goose, Rook, Pied Wagtail and a few other sp.
