Leeshaw - Fly Flatts

15:00 - 16:30 (ish).

Leeshaw:

A short outing at Oxenhope this aft - thoroughly wet throughout.

No Gulls on my arrival but c15 Lesser Black-backed Gulls came and went.
1 Black Headed Gull - miles off on the NW shore.

2 Oystercatcher  and Lapwing were making some noise.

Greylag Geese with large Goslings.

A short wet stroll revealed a drumming Snipe - heard first then seen weaving high overhead.
Difficult to get a photo of it - but a great sight nonetheless.

Fly Flatts:

I went home along the Fly Flatts road.
There is a great improvement to this road with new thick tarmac along the Oxenhope end and in pretty good nick elsewhere.

I stopped temporarily to look at Fly Flatts reservoir.
But the distance and the heavy rain put paid to any meaningful photos with my tackle.

Still I took a few poor ones!

Lots of Large Gulls on the NE shore was about all I can say.

Black dot appeared when I cropped this.
Presumably a Swallow

Snipe fast, high overhead, drumming.
