Shibden Park and Foreside Lane to Back Lane (Ogden)

The usual Saturday outing to Shibden Park, although with the rotten weekend weather of late we have not been here for a while. Today it was pleasantly warm.
The usual suspects about.

2 Mute Swan with 4 Cygnets.
Coot with at least 5 young birds.
Not a lot else.

Foreside Lane to Back Lane (Ogden).

16:30 - 18:15

I like this little evening stroll, usually bereft of  noise and people and always something of interest pops up.
This evening, however it was a bit livelier than the norm with haymaking taking place.

The bird of the evening was Snipe.
1 was perched on a telephone pole and another 2 stood on very distant walls.
2 were also displaying constantly, later on.
Great to hear and see, but difficult to photograph or video.

Others.

Curlew, Lapwing, 3 Oystercatcher, Skylark, Meadow Pipit.
Reed Bunting.
Herring Gull and Lesser Black-backed Gull with an exceptionally large looking Gull over.

A lone (unusually pretty) juv Starling was a bit of a surprise - I didn't see any other Starling here, but I can't turn it into owt else!
