Ogden Sunday PM

Sitting at home doing the crossword and watching the rain for a good bit of the afternoon today.
The rain abated a bit and I managed a look up Ogden Back Lane and an Ogden circuit, with just bits of drizzle.
The path was very waterlogged in places.

Birds:

In comparison to last times visit with lots of birdsong today there was very few birds singing.

c20 Small Gulls far out on the water with a Sub-adult Lesser Black-backed Gull.
Gulls were passing continually overhead.

c30 Meadow Pipit airborne over Syke Lane.

A Dipper was feeding in the sluice area.
A long look for the Kingfisher, here, failed to locate it but I did see it fly into the north end bushes later.

A Tufted Duck remained asleep on the water.

Passerine alley had a few Blackbird and Robin a Chaffinch and a Willow Warbler.
Attempts to get the camera to focus on the Willow Warbler were frustrating with the poor light and the frequently moving bird.

A Green Woodpecker called loudly from Back Lane area and there were a good few Meadow Pipits flitting about here, also.

Good to get out and about on a grim day.

Lots of water coming in.
