The usual outing this afternoon, cloudy and dry start, cloudy and wet finish - quite windy on the tops.

Birds:-

Taylor Lane Area:

Kestrel.
40+ Flighty Fieldfare.
Meadow Pipit.
Pied Wagtail.


Soil Hill Area:

5 Meadow Pipit.
4 Curlew.
4 Herring Gull.
Common and Black Headed Gull.
3 Blackbird down the Ring Ouzel tree-lined gulley had me taking a good clomp about!

Whilst down there, scanning the lower very boggy/reedy fields a long billed wader flew through the view, Curlew sized but not a Curlew by its flight … one that got away.

6 Lapwing.
3 Skylark.
Pheasant.
Moorhen.
Pr. Mallard.
Stock Dove.

Farm Track/Fields:

2 Curlew.
8 Herring Gull ? overhead - very noisy.
Common Gulls.
Pheasant.
2 Canada Geese.

Highlight of a poor outing was a Buzzard passing, high, over East View Farm as I neared home.

A Cormorant over Sowerby Bridge this morning.
