Another Soil Hill Visit

Another jaunt up to and around Soil Hill.
Highlight of the outing was a good natter with the 'GI Brothers' on Ned Hill Track.

Difficult day to get the right clothing on for the walk today with dark ominous clouds at the outset gave way to hot sunshine later.
I was a bit overdressed by the time I got up to Soil Hill.

Birds:

Same birds as usual mostly.
Moorhen, Pr. Curlew over, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull over.
Lapwing, Linnet, Goldfinch.
Swift, Swallow.
A whitethroat was calling on Soil Hill top and another was in the small tree on Taylor Lane.

THREE Little Owl were seen from the normal vantage point on Taylor Lane.

Pr. Kestrel seen from Bradshaw Lane, one taking a dislike to the second.

The usual Tree Pipit conundrum - a Pipit flew high then parachuted down to land in the top of a bush on Soil Hill top.
Too distant to get a decent photo before it left.
Looks to have a fine bill so probably a Meadow Pipit.
