We spent the morning getting the motorhome ready for it's winter hibernation, later Sue dropped me at Ogden.
It was good to chat with B.S. in the rain!
It was very wet here and I just managed a circuit of the water before heading off home via Boggart Brigg.
Fortunately Sue was delayed in town and she picked me up as I was slogging along Cow Hill Gate Lane.
Not a lot on offer, with the rain keeping birds 'indoors'.
2 Herring Gulls at the outset with 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull and a few Common and Black Headed Gulls.
Gulls seem to enjoy the wet weather, they must have some fantastic rain proof plumage.
I wonder what a 'Gull feathered raincoat' would cost.
Gull numbers were building, over the east side of the water, as I was leaving along the west side in the pouring rain.
Just a couple of Goldcrest and c6 Long Tailed Tit with other Tit species here abouts.
A Mistle Thrush flew overhead as I went along Boggart Brigg.
Its that time of the year when something special is hard to come by...... but if you don't go and look you'll never know.
A big improvement in the weather is due from tomorrow for a few days.
