A look at Soil Hill again on an unusually mild, calm, dull day.
Most of the snow has now gone with just the odd bit of ice left.
I dropped some bird seen along the main track - the Crow population were looking on from the Comms mast.
2 walkers along the top and a mountain biker up here as well today.
Birds:
Taylor Lane:
2 Mistle Thrush, Little Owl, Jackdaws.
Soil Hill:
Pheasant, Rook, Carrion Crow.
Fewer Gulls about today - Common Gull, Herring Gull.
Black Headed Gull.
A Heron near the lower NK pond.
1 Meadow Pipit called (not located).
Blackbird in the north slope bushes.
Ned Hill Track (South End):
Wren.
Homeward Bound:
Common Gull, Black Headed Gull.
Woodpigeon, Mistle Thrush, Starlings.
Little Owl.
With a little bit of good fortune, maybe next week, I'll see some Waders locally.
